The 11th Annual Devil Dog 5K/10K invites South Florida to run, walk, donate and honor those who served on October 4 in Boca Raton.

BOCA RATON, FL, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Before runners cross the finish line at this year’s Devil Dog 5K/10K, South Florida has another finish line to reach: raising $125,000 to support disabled Florida veterans and their families. On October 4, runners, walkers, veterans, families, and local organizations will come together to turn every mile into a powerful show of support for Florida’s military community.

Held at Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, the event benefits the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance and professional services to qualified disabled Florida veterans to help save lives and keep families together.

This year, the South Florida community is racing toward a major finish line: raising $125,000 before race day.
One race. Thousands of miles. A $125,000 mission.

More than a competition, the Devil Dog 5K/10K is a tribute to the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our nation. Every registration, donation, and sponsorship turns gratitude into action, helping veterans find stability, dignity, and hope when they need it most.

At the heart of the event is a simple message: Every mile honors a hero.

Through the Honor a Hero Memorial Mile, participants and supporters can recognize veterans who served the country and have passed away. For a $100 donation, families and friends can add a loved one’s name to the Memorial Mile banner.

On race day, runners and walkers will pass the display in a shared moment of remembrance, reflection and gratitude. Each name represents a life, a legacy, and a sacrifice that will not be forgotten.

The event offers several ways for people of all ages and fitness levels to participate, including a 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run/Walk, non-timed 1-Mile Fun Walk and Kids 1-Mile Race for children 12 and under. The morning will also feature live music, food, vendor tents and children’s activities, creating a family-friendly celebration with a powerful purpose.

Those unable to attend can still make an impact by donating, becoming a fundraiser, sponsoring the race, or sharing the event with friends, coworkers, schools, gyms, and community organizations.

One registration brings another runner to the starting line. One share can inspire an entire team. One donation can help provide critical assistance to a Florida veteran facing a financial emergency.

With less than one month remaining, Evolution Fitness is calling on South Florida to run, walk, give, and help carry the $125,000 mission across the finish line.

On October 4, every step will carry a purpose, every name will carry a legacy, and an entire community will move forward for those who served.
The countdown is on. The race to $125,000 starts now.
